As the international leader in innovative underwater housing technology, Nauticam is pleased to announce the latest release in its acclaimed line of precision crafted camera housings. The NA-D800 breaks new ground in ergonomic functions, extensive control options and ease of operation while upholding the robust quality standards that have become a hallmark of the Nauticam brand. There are numerous significant advancements on this housing.

Features taken from the D7000V housing include the redesigned sub command dial control and the right thumb-operated control using a double paddle lever assembly to engage the record function (Live View on NA-D7000V) on the top lever and the dedicated AF-ON feature on the bottom lever. A similar two paddle arrangement has been placed for the left thumb to activate playback and ISO control. The multi control features a new pad arrangement rather than buttons. The housing has a port that is capable of taking the company’s HDMI bulkhead to easily add the Nauticam external monitor. The housing has two fiber optic ports as standard, although Nikonos, S6 and Ikelite bulkheads are also available. More info coming soon.

Nauticam has announcd the NA-NEX7 housing for Sony’s top of the line mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, the Sony Alpha NEX-7. Nauticam’s leadership in the Alpha NEX arena continues as it brings the first NEX-7 underwater housing to market. With DSLR quality imaging and performance packed into a housing that is small enough to take anywhere, NEX-7 is now ready to explore the depths.

The Sony Alpha NEX-7 expands the Alpha NEX lineup by adding features and performance worthy of enthusiasts and professionals alike. Specification-wise, the NEX-7 might be closer to Sony’s flagship DSLR, the A77, but the body size is only slightly larger than the NEX-5N.

When the NEX-5N was released, underwater photographers have long had to choose between the excellent image quality of a DSLR versus the compact size of point and shoot cameras. With the NA-NEX7 housing from Nauticam, that paradigm has now changed, and radically so. With NEX-7, you can expect image quality rivaling any DSLR in a housing that is incredibly small and light – plus fine control over all camera settings.

The long-awaited 45° Aquaview viewfinder from Aquatica is finally here. And it can be described in two words – small and bright! It’s small, sculptured form fits very neatly on the back of your housing. And when you look through it, the bright, crisp image appears brighter than real life. It’s 45° angle puts you in a comfortable position, especially for macro.

It also pivots through 360° against the housing to allow different viewing angles, clicking into position every 90°. And, of course, it has the same tough finish that Aquatica housings are known for.

Aquatica Digital has been providing for both the recreational and professional diver high quality underwater photographic systems for over 30 years. Given their tremendous expertise in designing & manufacturing underwater photographic equipment, they are proud to announce the new HD-WAVE supporting the new Sony HDR CX560/700 HD camcorders. With the well received introduction to the first HD video housing from Aquatica, the HD-WAVE continues its surf to another level, A new super compact housing concept, weighing in at only 6 lbs it’s our smallest and lightest aluminum housing ever, great for easy travel.

Built with the same high quality solid aluminum construction as their digital SLR housings, no compromise was taken to create the New “HD WAVE” Video Housing. Keeping in mind total ergonomics and underwater balance, its compact design with intergraded Stable-Wide® grip system makes the unit extremely user friendly underwater. Our engineers worked very hard on its design, they have now incorporated the use of the Sony remote commander which now allows easy and complete access to all key camcorder functions, including the critical Manual White balance function; it will give users the ability to create the best possible HD video underwater. Now the user will have a complete 30° viewing angle on the large 3’’ side LCD viewfinder without any touch screen push button obstruction, this finally will account for optimal filming capabilities.
